I read a discussion here from a year or so ago about trying to getprofiles from two OUs. Apparently that is not possible because youcan't string the OUs together in the Search base.Can we import some of the profiles with the Active Directory connectionand then use LDAP to point at another OU in the same domain? If so,could someone help us with setting up the provider?
So, this is a hokey workaround, but it usually works...Create one Active Directory connection to the pre-Windows 2000 name, i.e."Contoso"Create a second Active Directory connection to the FQDB, i.e. "contoso.msft"
Our shop is big enough that AD is handledby a totally different group of people. I sent my guy your response andhe translate that second line for the non-AD types like me (FullyQualified Domain Name). He told me what to use and it worked like acharm! I now have imports from both OUs successfully and can runincremental updates as needed.
