Does anyone know how the User Photos library in SharePoint 2010 is supposed to
work?

I've uploaded a few photos into the 'Profile Pictures' subfolder of the User
Photos Library. The photos are named domain_username.

I expected a couple of things to happen,

(a) Images of three sizes to be created
(b) Images to be automatically tied to the appropriate sync'd profile.

Neither of these has happend & I can't see any config or find any documentation
for this.

Anyone else had any luck with it?
