Problems with XP Developer

Asked By: Jyoti Devalekar         Date: Apr 26, 2010      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 196

I'm trying to connect to an SPS workspace through XP Developer but I
can't do it. Everytime I try to connect to the default "Portal" I get
an error that says "Portal already exists cannot be used". Because
I'm following the MS Instructions for connecting to a workspace for
the first time I'm retitling the name of the .sln file to "Portal",
so after this error I try to change the name of the portal to
portal3, etc. and then I receive another error that says "You are not
authorized to create Portal2 on http://myserver/myworkspace"

Does anyone know why this is happening? I can connect another
workspace, it just seems like I am only able to connect to one and
only one.

Instead of trying to create  new one, search for solution file
with name "Portal". "Portal already exists  cannot be used" means u already
created a solution file  before. u may able to create from another machine.

the name of the file  that u must create  muste be "Portal" with others name u
habe problems
Conect to http://<server>/<workspace> and create a file named Portal.
If u already habe one Portal, delete them, and create one.

I tried the solutions suggested but now, when I try and connect  to
the workspace  I get an "cannot connect because of http" error.
