Problems to look for after SP1 install?

Asked By: Harley    Date: Jan 31    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 574

We finally deployed SP1 to our dev environment. Deployment went smoothly
and now I'm testing for any negative impact. Can those of you who
experienced/know about problems after applying SP1 respond and list
them? It would be helpful to have more targeted testing where it's
needed

I haven't seen anyone else blame SP1 for this but as soon as we
installed it we began seeing errors related to search.

Full crawls of the index will start and run manually but scheduled
crawls throw an error:

"The update cannot be started because all of the content sources were
excluded by crawl rules, or removed from the index configuration."

We are also seeing a group of errors every day at around the same
time related to our SQL connection (I think).

"A transport-level error has occurred when sending the request to the
server. (provider: TCP Provider, error: 0 - An existing connection
was forcibly closed by the remote host.)"

None of this was happening prior to installing SP1.
