Problem With .tiff Files

Asked By: Anita Rhodes         Date: Apr 25, 2010      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 268

We are running SharePoint Portal 2001 and when someone copies a .tiff file
to the Document Library via a web folder it appears to copy OK but when you
go to the document Library web part and click on the .tiff file the browser
just hangs on a blank page.

Having you tried downloading the TIFF? You may have an problem  with the
browser's association with a tiff  viewer - or maybe the viewer it's
associated with can't handle that format of TIFF.

If I save it to my desktop and click on it, then it opens in Windows Picture and
Fax Viewer. When I try opehning it in IE, I get a broken Quicktime Icon in the
middle of the browser page and IE hangs.
