Problem with stsadm command line

Asked By: Domonique    Date: Sep 22    Category: MOSS    Views: 1459

I'm using SPS2007, and try to deploy a very basic webpart to sharepoint site.
when I try stsadm -o addsolution -filename "*.wsp"
I always got "Object reference not set to an instance of an object" error.
did anyone know what's wrong or something I need installed.
I can see stsadm.exe in the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\web
server extensions\12\BIN

You need to specify the exact location and filename of the solution file
you are trying to add. You can't simply use "*.wsp".
