Problem exporting information to excel

When I use the option "Export to Spreadsheet" on my list, I get the
error

"To Export a list, you must have a Windows SharePoint
Services-compatible application"

I am running Windows 2000 workstation and office 2000

What is the minimum requirement?

You need Office 2003...................................
