Problem creating new content in WSS 3.0 (publishing related)

Asked By: Zoe    Date: Dec 01    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1227

We're having problems with a WSS 3.0 installation, when we want to
create a new site or any kind of new content. The scenario is this: WSS
3.0 running alongside companyweb on a SBS2003 Premium installation,
ISA2004 as firewall. The WSS3 website opens fine from outside and inside
as team.customer.org, but whenever something new is to be created, it
tries to point to team.customer.org:45555 which is the port that WSS3 is
listening on, on the inside.

I've got a Web Listener going on on ISA2004, so from outside it's
https://team.customer.org, using wildcard cert and port bridging.

I've also tried creating alternate access URL's at the administration
website, didn't work. Any insights?

you probably do need an alternate access mapping on the external URL. Try
creating another mapping for Custom (zone doesn't matter) for your external URL.
if that doesn't work, it may be how you are mapping the URL? If you are
terminating SSL, etc, then you would most likely need a second default URL. if
adding a custom zone for the URL doesn't work, ping us back here.
