We recently had additional disk space added for our SPS 2003 servers in our
medium server farm. Our extended disk space was being store on an attached Shark
device but this was replaced by a FastT device. Part of the device swap also
included moving data from the Shark to FastT.

Since this was done we have noticed problems with our content index. Searches
that previously returned search results are no longer working. We have also seen
error messages on our front-end web server, "The gatherer files cannot be
flushed and this action cannot be completed. The gatherer will attempt to flush
files again. If this problem persists restart the service, free system resources
or verify that your hardware is working properly."

We will attempt to resolve this by deleting and recreating the content index.
Has anyone run across this before or have any suggestions?
