Problem between Word and Sharepoint (Both versions?)

Asked By: Reginald    Date: Mar 09    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 976

A Client has an autodate feature in Word Documents which get printed
and then filled in as a record once opened from SP2003.

Users open the docs in read only mode from Sharepoint 2003. In the
footer of the docs is an AutoDate function which shows the current
date. WHen you print the document or print preview the Date dissapears
and is not shown.

This issue only happens when opening the doc in read only mode from
Sharepoint, any other way is fine.

I logged a call with MS who said its by design but how can it be? The
date is there and dissappears when printing or print previewing.

I think this issue also occurs in Moss and all word versions.

Has anyone else seen this problem or can enlighten me some more?
