I was trying to publish the user profile from the AD but some of the attributes are not in AD so I thought of make use of BDC.

My question here is _

1. Do I need to download the "sample database AdventureWorks" ?


What I did is without "sample database AdventureWorks"

2. I created database called EmployeeInformation and created table called "EmployeeData"
3.Then created ADF using "Microsoft Business Data Catalog Definition Editor tool "

4. Imported application definition

5. Added Business data list Web part

6. No luck always get "Unable to connect to EmployeeInformation_Instance
