How to prevent specific user profiles from importing from AD?

I have 3 specific user profiles (out of 450+) in my Active Directory
that I do *not* want SPS2003 to import during its full update. The
profiles show up in a People search, but I don't want them to, and
unfortunately, they need to stay in AD for other purposes. Does
anyone know of a way to keep those profiles from coming over? At the
moment, after every update, I have to go in and delete the user
profiles.

You should be able to modify the LDAP filter in the profile import
connection properties to include the present string and then the !
modifier in LDAP filter for those particular users.

Using a (!(sAMAccountName=xxxxxxx)) clause did the trick. Thanks!
(A new ACL group is now next on the list, once we decide which of
the 540 accounts should not show up in a "People" search. I've
inadvertently created another project)
