PreUpgrade Check Error - Migrating to SP 2010 - Missing Server file or server configuration iss

Asked By: Reyna Mccray         Date: Nov 24, 2010      Category: MOSS      Views: 624

I am working on migrating our current farm to SharePoint 2010. I just
ran the preupgrade check and the report came back with some interesting
findings.

I am not sure what to make of this. Can anyone help. I did a search on
this issue and found this link -

Has anyone had to overcome something like this? Any assistance would be
greatly appreciated.

Issue : Missing server file or server configuration issues
Server side files are referenced in the content databases, but are not
installed on the server. Without these files, the sites may not function
completely or the content may not render correctly. Also, upgrade or
post upgrade issues may occur if these files are not available in the
new version environment. The following web part(s) are referenced by the
content, but they are not installed on the web server

Were these files modified? Also, have you verified that the files are indeed
there?

I ran the stsadm.exe –o enumallwebs and did a preupgrade report again and I
tried to do a find all and it did not find anything.

Do you think these are remnants of SP 2003? I have never seen this before.
