Powerpoint 'picture previews' in lists

Asked By: Rolando Flowers         Date: Nov 03, 2003      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 304

Having set up a Presentations library [with ppt files] it would be
great to create a list view that shows a 'picture preview' (instead
of the ppt icon) of the file without using the explorer view. Does
anyone know how this could be done?

I supposed you could take one of the slides from each deck, turn it into
a gif and associate that gif with the slide deck. Just a thought.......

Thanks, I have thought of that, but it is not 'user' friendly. I do
understand that the ppt  file format save a preview  Icon in the file.
I will dig further.
