postback issue with a form based on a list, WSS v3.0

  Asked By: Dale    Date: Sep 21    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1415

I used SharePoint Designer to create a form based on a List: Data View -
> Insert Data View. The form contains a button that saves the form data
to the list, after it validate the values. The onclick event contains:
onclick="javascript: {ddwrt:GenFireServerEvent('__commit')}"

If the validation fails the page returns with appropriate error
messages. If the validation suceeds, the page returns with empty fields
and the List is updated with the new values.

While keeping the validation and list updating, I would like to modify
the behavior so that, if the values are correct, on postback the user
is redirected to another page, NOT back to the forms page.

How do I do that?
