Is it possible to truncate the list items in a custom list

Asked By: Jasen    Date: Jan 26    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 11779

I have 150 records in my custom list, I deleted all the records, as i have
created a new record it's id is generated as 151, is there any way to truncate
all the list items from this custom list, so that i can have list id
starting from 1 onwards.

Ask the administrator to clear up the rubbish box of sharepoint.
Maybe that will help.

To the best of my knowledge there is no way to reset the ID on a list  without
deleting and recreating the list. The IDs are managed by the system and can't
be controlled programmatically.
