Portal and WSS on the same computer

I too use host headers for SharePoint Web Part development and I'm still
not running SP2 (sometimes not even SP1).

I should clarify there are known issues with using host  headers pre-SP2.

I really like the ability to respond wirelessly – but I have decided waking up is a good idea before sending messages…

The primary issue with using host  headers, that I’m aware of, is no SSL support—that’s a problem for most of the folks I work with.

I think I got my thinking flipped around in my previous post … host headers  were the only supported option for hosting multiple sites on the same IP address pre-SP2. Said another way, bound IP addresses weren’t supported.

Sorry for the confusion … I’m going to get a massive dose of caffeine now…
