Populate List data based on List Item Selection

Asked By: Sonya Fletcher         Date: May 10, 2007      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 2089

I want to accomplish a task in WSS 3.0 where i have a Column in a List which
is a lookup to another lists column. (eg) The Job Title column in Jobs list is a
lookup column which gets its Job Title from Job Titles list.
In the Jobs list, there are couple of other columns like Job Description,
Work Experience etc etc. The 'Job Titles' list has Job Description, Work
Experience etc columns already filled with data.

Now my task is: If the user chooses a given Job Title, then automatically
the Job Description, Work Experience fields in Jobs list should get filled out.

So, i was wondering if there is a way to accomplish this task. I have seen
at other places a similar question, but none of them had answers. Could anyone
help me in this regard as to accomplish this in a simple WSS 3.0 environment? I
have SharePoint Designer too to do some plush jobs.
Any pointers and help in this regard is well appreciated.
