Placing a hyperlink on an image

Asked By: Srikant Hebbar         Date: Sep 19, 2006      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 336

I would like to add a hyperlink to an image on a team site so a user
doesn't have to know enough to click on the title. I saw some posts
referring to this, and referring to the use of CEWP to do it.

How do you get the CEWP? And how do you add it to your web parts
list?

This is the Content Editor Web Part and its referred to as CEWP. This Webpart is already installed and should be available to you in your Webpart gallery. Simply select it and drop it where you like on the page. When you drop it you will have two options…. One is to use the Rich Text Editor and in there you can add  text or custom links if desirable. The other area you will have is the Source Editor. Here is an area where you can place custom code that will work on that page ( meaning if you add some custom StyleSheet information in the Source editor that will only be reflected on that page.

There are a lot of posting floating around for this. My blog has one or two but Todd Bleeker is the man when it comes to CEWP.
