Using PKI client certificate authentication with a WSS/SPS extranet?

  Asked By: Gregory    Date: Jul 25    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 2036

Has anyone used client-side PKI user certificates to authenticate users
against a WSS/SPS extranet?

What type of certificate mapping did you use? ...IIS-based? ...AD-based?

Any pointers to a build book or other documentation would be great.

We use AD certificate  mapping for our external partners to access corporate
sharepoint site. Ofcourse, they need to have a valid BPIA certificate....

The background looks like this :
1 way trust
User (Internet)-----> DMZ <-> XAD DC Forest --- ------------>
Corporate AD Forest

Probably U can check the Microsoft site for more info...
