Photo Library Question

Asked By: Megha Manna         Date: May 03, 2009      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 398

Is there a way to force a photo library to open in Filmstrip mode? Or
to display additional columns in Thumbnail view? Editing the View
doesn't work, and there's no obvious way to get at those controls in
SharePoint Designer.

One thing you can do is display  the "This week in pictures" web part on
a page. This web part automatically displays as sort of a film strip,
starting with the most recently added picture in the library.

When you add this web part to your page, in the web part toolpane, just
put the name of your picture library  in the "Image Library Name" field.

Then, once this web part is added, it will have a "View slide show"
link on it!
