Personalization site links

Asked By: Edward    Date: Feb 14    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 1085

I've been experimenting with this feature, adding links to the My Site
horizontal navigation bar. I seem to have hit a problem in that although I'm
putting in the links and testing them, when they appear on the My Site page,
Sharepoint is adding ?MySiteView=1 as a suffix to the URL. This is breaking the
URLs and I need to find a way to stop it happening.

Any suggestions, please?

I'm not sure what you mean by breaking  the URL? The ?MySiteView=1 is
passing a parameter into the page  to make sure it displays the
appropriate view for a personalization  site. I don't think you can stop
it from happening.

Well, if I specify the URL of our MOSS portal and then click on the button, the
browser attempts to connect to the portal site  and it comes back with an "HTTP
403 Forbidden" error.
