"Permissions" problem

Asked By: Jagdish    Date: Sep 30    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 869

I have a group of users publishing docs fine (some at author level, one at
coordinator). They are now suddenly unable to add a new document in the
same folder where they had previously added and published documents.

The users get a "you do not have permission to perform that action" message.

Other author and coordinator users are able to add and publish fine. In
addition, the users with the problem can copy a new file using the web
folders interface, and then check-in fine. They just are denied added new
docs with the Sharepoint dashboard interface.

Any ideas?

Any ideas  on this? I still don't have a fix. The problem  seems attached to
specific user accounts (not machines). I also removed one with author
rights and then put her back in, but she still had the same problem. Yet I
made a new author  and he didn't have problems.
