Permissions not functioning properly

Asked By: Ramsey    Date: Aug 22    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 706

I have set up a sharepoint site with several subsites below it. All
permissions inherit from the top level site. I have [NT
AUTHORITY\Authenticated Users] as a read only user set up on the top
level site. However, the users can still edit/delete/add to all of the
lists and libraries. Is there something that can override the top
level site permissions? Is there a configuration on the server that
needs to be modified?

Why not set  Domain Users as Read only? I don't think Authenticated Users is
the correct group to try to lock down.
