Permissions Issue with Sharepoint list and a View

I have a Sharepoint list with information, and there is another group
that needs access to a portion (like 6 fields) of that list. I created
a view with the six fields, but in order to share the view with the
group Sharepoint forces me to grant access to the entire list, and I
don't want to do that. Is there a work-around for this?

Try:
1. Create the view that you want.
2. Create a Document library with Web Part Pages as the template.
3. Set the security for the Library to allow the group read access.
4. Add a webpagre to the library and add the Web Part for the list to the page.
5. Modify the list web part to use your new veiw.

The web part will have a link to the List but the security on the list should prevent access.
