Permission issues with a Survey

Asked By: Johnathan Hicks         Date: Jun 01, 2004      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 330

My users are being prompted to provide username and password when
responding to a survey - at the point where they click Save and
Close. It does not accept their passwords indicating they do not
have rights to respond to the survey. This is a Windows Sharepoint
Services site and the users have the Read role. I know this is
something basic, but I haven't been able to figure it out. Can
anyone help?

You need to have more than Reader role  to contribute to a survey, Contributor role should do it

Give them contributor rights  to make changes to the list.
