Performance Point Server 2007

Asked By: Adriane    Date: Jun 05    Category: MOSS    Views: 614

Our school is looking into implementing BI into our Moss configuration.
Microsoft threw the idea of Performance Point Server at us last week
and I am starting to research it. It is, of course, an added cost.

Has anyone used this? Is it a success? a failure?

Any thoughts or feedback?

Don't have any details on PPS but we have Business Scorecard Manager running.
Depending on what it is that you want to do, out of the box Report Center in
MOSS may be all that you need. Depnds on how complex you want your Dashboards to
be, but you can do a lot with just manually imputed KPI lists and Excel 2007

One of the main issues is that we really aren't sure how all of the out of the
box BI components work. Do you have Excel services enabled? Any info you can
provide would be GREATLY appreciated...
