Performance Monitor and CAL

Asked By: Haresh    Date: Jan 06    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 926

Where can i get "Performance Monitor" Tool which can monitor the hits
by the users to my site? Does this come with SPS or
with the Windows 2000 Advanced Server OS ? Or is it a 3rd part tool
for tracking the performance of the site ?
If i need to buy it what is the cost ?

I am also thinking of using it to track the number of users hitting
my site.

On your server, click on Start -- Run -- enter "Perfmon"

Now click on "View Report"
Click on the "+" and choose Web Service as the performance  Object.
Then choose the counter you would like to see.

On a side note, change the update to 30 seconds and try to run this from a
different server to improve performance on the SPS server.
