"People Picker shows all the membership provider users"

Asked By: Traci Jennings         Date: Jan 16, 2009      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 784

I am running 3 different Authentication provider sites on a single
server.
1) ADAM-fba site
2) sql site
3) AD site

whenever I try to search any user in the people picker on ADAM-fba
site , it displays all the matching users from all the 3 Authentication
provider. I wanted to display only the users who belong to that
particular Authentication provider based site. For e.g I don't want to
display AD users on ADAM-fba site.

Any one can help me out with this?

I don't have a good internet connection...so I'm paraphrasing here.

Try looking up stsadm.exe -o peoplepicker-searchadcustomquery and
peoplepicker-searchadforests ... I don't remember the exact syntax. But, you
can use the query command to scope the people  picker.
