People Column Sort/Filter

  Asked By: Roxana    Date: Aug 25    Category: MOSS    Views: 2262

I have a task list with a column that has people. You can add 1
or more people per task. In the standard layout/view, in IE, you can click
on the column header to sort ascending, descending or filter by a person. How
would you generate this same thing in a dataview?

This is at the column header:
<xsl:call-template name="dvt.headerfield" ddwrt:atomic="1"
xmlns:ddwrt="schemas.microsoft.com/WebParts/v2/DataView/runtime">
<xsl:with-param name="fieldname">@AssignedTo</xsl:with-param>
<xsl:with-param name="fieldtitle">AssignedTo</xsl:with-param>
<xsl:with-param name="displayname">Assigned To</xsl:with-param>
<xsl:with-param name="dvt_sorttype">text</xsl:with-param>
<xsl:with-param name="sortable">1</xsl:with-param>
<xsl:with-param name="fieldtype">x:integer</xsl:with-param>
</xsl:call-template>

This is listed in the column where the data is
<xsl:value-of select="@AssignedTo" disable-output-escaping="yes" />

I'm really new to this - so if someone posts that it can be done with CAML - pls
dumb it down and include what it should look like and where it should go.

I've looked at this and can't get it to work
