Can you do Versioning on a PDF Documnet?

It doesn't appear to do native versioning  on SharePoint. You would have to use different file names (not true versioning) to keep a document  history.

You can store versions of any file in a document  library (as long as versioning
is turned on in the library itself).

I have versioning  turned on for the document  library. I know it works for a word doc or an Excel worksheet but Since I am not able to make changes to the PDF file & try uploading one it creates a new PDF file with the same name.

Can we store also versions of webpart pages in document  library..
