How to pass value from SharePoint List Filter to another page

Can anyone help me understand how I can take the value selected by a user in SP List Filter and then send that data to another list filter or list view on another page?

I'm trying to give users increasing levels of detail form a list that has many rich text fields and much information...

Thanks for any ideas.

You haven't specified either you are using visual webpart or Designer.

you can use data view/add data resource

or via any webpart (support connection) send value to another page
