Partial token Search does not return results

I have file names in my document library like 1994_Food_Grocer_JVM.doc

When I search say JVM, it does not pick up the 1994_Food_Grocer_JVM.doc
document, however if I rename the file to 1994 Food Grocer JVM.doc and do a
search of JVM it picks up this file.

The problem is I have tons of documents that are named with underscores. Is
there any way I can make sharepoint team site search using partial tokens (i.e.
JVM)
