Outlook Security alert

Asked By: Garrett    Date: Nov 28    Category: MOSS    Views: 1111

When connecting Outlook to the SharePoint calendar or document library.
I get a popup that states:

The security certificate is from a trusted certifying authority
The security certificate is date is valid

The name on the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of
the site.

I verified the info:
my server name is x.domain.edu
my cert name is x.domain.edu

Any ideas.
Let me know if you need any details

This is sharepoint 2007 server using office 2010/2007 to connect to the sites.

But is the SharePoint site you are connecting to located at
http://x.domain.edu or are you using a host header or something to provide a
different address. The certificate needs to match the name of the site, not
just the server.
