Outlook 2007 Calendar not syncing with MOSS 2007

Asked By: Sarojini Chowdary         Date: Oct 08, 2008      Category: MOSS      Views: 558

I have MOSS 2007 server with several calendars that need to be
synchronized with several Outlook users. Some of the Calendars work
with no problem, some give an error code in Outlook "Task
'SharePoint' reported error (0x080004005):'An error occurred either in
Outlook or SharePoint. Contact the SharePoint site administrator" .
When looking at the advanced options for the SharePoint list Options
while connecting the calendar to outlook the Server Version is "Not
Available". I can not find any setting that are different between the
calendars that do work and those that don't.

80004005 errors usually have to do with access permisssions.

I have Full Control Permisions on the site and am still getting the
same error.

What about your Internet Options? Is the MOSS a trusted site? It maybe a problem
with permissions in Outlook and not MOSS.

I can connect to some calendars but not others in different sites on
MOSS. So i don't think that it is a trust issue with MOSS. SO i think
it is a setting somewhere on the individual MOSS sites.
