Other URL to my intranet

Asked By: Kara Woods         Date: Dec 25, 2009      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 419

Up until now I have addressed my Sharepoint server http://servername. But
now I want to have the same URL (intranet.domain.se) for both my internal
access and the access from internet (easier for the users). I have added the
server in the DNS with the correct name. But when I try to access
http://intranet.domain.se on my company network it asks me for logon
information. Why is that?

You need to check the authentication method in IIS as well as the
Security level for the Local intranet  zone. I'm using Integrated
Authentication. And under the security tab, under Local Intranet Zone,
my setting is Automatic logon only in intranet zone. I hope this helps.

I missed the Local Intranet Zone setting.
