How to organize bookmarks

Asked By: Marco    Date: Jun 28    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 897

I'm trying to organize a list of bookmarks with different categories
just like the FAVORITES menu on the Internet Explorer.

Is there any way to emulate this structure in a WSS site?
Is there any way to bulk import a list of bookmarks?

You can do it in a portal TOC/Topic area using the Groups listing
feature. I'm not sure about a WSS site.

You could perhaps create a list  of links and define a column called
Category. Then create a view where you group by Category. Define the
groups to be collapsed.

It is not exactly the same but close. I don't know how you might import
the favorites.

Well, I found a way. If you go to the Central administration Manage Blocked File Types and delete the file type: lnk then you can create a document library and import  a complete structure  of links with categories and sub-folders.

This is a good workaround for people using WSS. It works Great!
