We are looking at implementing the Organization Browser for our intranet, and was wondering if there is an "industry best practice" for the data source?

We had originally looked at PeopleSync as a tool to populate AD from our ERP, but our Enterprise Architects didnt like that the organisation structure would be replicated in more than one place.

I understand that you can link the Organization Browser from other data sources (blogs.technet.com/.../...earch-using-metadata.aspx) but is it really a worthwhile excercise?
