Options for remote offices

Asked By: Joseph Petty         Date: Jan 21, 2007      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 167

Our company has been using SharePoint mostly for North America, but we
are going to be rolling it out to the other offices around the globe
(UK, Europe, Asia, Australia). We did some testing from the Asia
office and the performance is horrendous. We would like to keep our
servers in a central location, but we are wondering what our options
are, or what other companies are doing in this situation. If you
could please share your thoughts on this, I would appreciate it.

I would look at a wan optimisation product like riverbed or splitting the portal
to localise content.
