Cannot Open the Rich Text Editor

I am wondering, it seems that the following combinations are kryptonite
to the SharePoint Rich Text Editor:

- WindowsVista

- IE 7.0

When I attempt to use the content editor on a machine with this
configuration, a msgBox pops up that says "Cannot open the Rich Text
Editor".

Does anyone know of a work-around or a solution?

Which version of SharePoint are you running? This a known issue under
WSSv2/SPS2003 (the control was not included in Vista, a fix is being
considered for SP3 of v2/2003), but things should be fine under
WSSv3/MOSS2007.

Yes.. we are using WSSv2/SPS2003
