I have a custom Word'03 .dot content type as the "new" for a MOSS
DocLibrary. After creating a new doc & saving it into the DocLib as
a .doc, then copying to Desktop and using as an eMail attachment,
general users cannot open it. It asks them to logon to SP. These are
XP sp3 machines with either MSO03 or MSO07.

Some blogs seem to say that there is a residual association with the
MOSS content type template. Some say an MSO inter-op problem (whatever
that is).

I am desperate. What can I do? Where should I post this Q?
