Office 2003 and checked out SharePoint Documents

Asked By: Helen    Date: Mar 04    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 2054

I have a user that has not made the move to Office 2007. When they
check out a document from a library to edit, they do not find a folder
in their MY DOCUMENTS/User Name with were the draft is stored. My
Office 2007 people have the folder.

Where does the draft reside on the local user machine until they check
it back in?

Office 2003 does not have the local draft checkout functionality - if
they want to check out and edit a local copy, they need to do the
checkout and download manually from the SharePoint browser UI.
