odma.dll

Asked By: Josiah Simon         Date: Apr 06, 2004      Category: Sharepoint      Views: 503

On my test platform I have DOCSOpen-- another EDMS (in addition to SPV2) . Years ago DOCSOpen came with ODMA.DLL (OpenDocMngtApp)-- which was developed by a consortium of DM vendors to tell any EDMS how to react to a 'file open', file save', etc.

In DOCSOpen's case I turned this functionality off-- by renaming or deleting ODMA.DLL

Now--- upon upgrading to Office 2003 products DOCSOpen came BACK TO LIFE and upon a file_save in Word--- it wants to PROFILE THE DOCUMENT and lo and behold--- ODMA.DLL is indeed present -- in a system directory-- must have come with Office2003.

My question--- Does SPV2 need this ODMA.DLL??
