Odd Errors with Search (407 Proxy Authentication Required)

We are experiencing some odd errors with Search. 2 WFE, 1 App server,
clusted DB, one domain. Index on app server, same with Central Admin.

We built a SSP, tried to crawl. Got are error. (407) Proxy
Authentication Required

Rebuilt SSP, did a full crawl, worked. Then did a incremental crawl,
the error came back.

Using NTLM, any thoughts?

In central admin, check out search  settings and there you will find an option
to set your proxy  server settings.
