Are you using local  accounts or domain accounts to grant access to your
SharePoint sites? Domain accounts are the preferred method for granting
access and as such, when you are prompted for credentials you should always
enter them as domain\username. Generally, the reason you are being prompted
for credentials in the first place is that the site  is not listed in either
your Trusted or Intranet zones in IE. Add the site to either of these as

One more thing, if you are using IE7, and place a site in the Trusted zone,
you will need to modify the security settings for the zone to allow logon
with current user  credentials.

To set the security settings, using IE7, go to your Tools>Internet Options.
On the security tab select Trusted Sites and then click  the Custom level
button. Scroll to the bottom of the list and select the radio button for
Automatic logon with current user  name and password.

I have done IE7 settings but login is prompting and not accepting user  name &
restored  same site  in remote  and send  to working  fine.
but when i restored site in my local  pc login prompt  and not accepting user name
and password.

backup  using stsadm

stsadm-o export -url http://host9011/sites/cellstar -filename
c:\cellstar_backup.cmp -cabsize 1024 -includeusersecurity

Restore using designer 2007.

I use domain\username for login.

What i understand this is happening due to different user settings. I created
all document  libraries and list in remote using host9011\administrator and when
i use send to other location  in local machine, its asking me connect to
tariqsrv. and i use tariqsrv\administrator.

Any idea  how can i resolve this problem?
