We are facing problem with the Sharepoint portal server hosting few websites for projects in our office.

We have divisions (Public sector etc) within the sharepoint website , and we are not receiving email alerts in the root sites however, we are receiving email alerts for the respective projects created in the root site (under each division)

We have checked all the settings required for this, and have done lot of research on the internet but still we are not able to resolve.

Kindly look into this matter.
