No-code workaround = use a list to contain the site metadata

  Asked By: Susana    Date: Nov 06    Category: MOSS    Views: 939

As you need a no-code solution, why not just use a list (for the metadata)

You could use content types to be able to store different types of metadata
(name-value pairs) in the same list e.g. for some metadata the value

* may be numeric

* may be a character string

You can then populate the metadata list with the required metadata

Name Value (String) Value (Numeric)
-------- ----------------- --------------------
Color Green
Purpose Fun
Amount 15

There are then various ways of (re)using this list within a custom site.

in your solution, how would I ensure that the metadata is populated when the
site is created?
