.net programming

I will be doing .net programming for sharepoint portal server 2003 but i
don't know where to start. Do you have sites or documents for beginners.
(i have experience for .net but not for sharepoint)

As far as i know, the only way you can develop stuff for Sharepoint (and keep
that stuff under Sharepoint umbrella) is to develop web parts. Because of the
ISAPI filter that is activ on the IIS server,...IIS will ignore all code present
on page. You can also consider ghosted sites.(a concept i don't yet master)

Search for webpart developement (a very tricky subject by the way). You will
need Visual Studio 2003 with the .net framework 1.something. .Net framework 2.0
does not support as yet webpart development. You will also need to download a
development kit. You will find all on the net.
