Navigation question

Asked By: Aurelio    Date: Oct 20    Category: Sharepoint    Views: 612

I am new to using SharePoint and need assistance in the following:

Under Documents and Lists heading and sub-folder Document Libraries I
have several folders with documents in them.

I need to create navigation links to these documents folders from the
home page, but I need to have the links appear under on the left side
column of the home page under the Documents heading. I am assuming
that the Documents heading is a default heading generated in
SharePoint like the heading for Pictures, Lists, etc.

I did not design the original layout, but have been requested to
assist in creation of these links. I would greatly appreciate if
someone could provide guidance (step by step would be nice as I am no
pro at this).

Go to the document  library itself, choose *Modify settings and columns ->
Change general settings *and select the *Yes *radio button in the *
Navigation* section. The document library will now appear under the
appropriate heading in the left  nav.
