Multiple Fields Filled With Drop Down

I have a dropdown that gives me an ID number
I have an associated Field ID Description that i need as a field too

when a user uploads a document i want him to select the ID number
and it should assign ID Description from the same list to the document
i want to know how to do this from sharepoint document library not from
infopath.
